Killebrew’s tenure as the Commissioner of Major League Rugby from 2019 to 2023 was marked by significant growth and expansion. Under his leadership, the league successfully added new expansion teams, attracting a larger fan base and increasing sponsorships. His strategic vision and ability to forge strong partnerships were instrumental in elevating Major League Rugby to new heights.
After leaving his post as Commissioner, Killebrew continued to make waves in the sports business industry. He embarked on a consulting journey, lending his expertise to various sports ventures. One notable collaboration was with Tom Dundon and the Professional Pickleball Association, where he provided valuable insights and guidance.
Prior to his role in Major League Rugby, Killebrew had an illustrious career with the Dallas Mavericks spanning over 27 years. During his tenure, he held key positions within the organization, including leading the ticket sales group, sponsorship team, and sponsor activation group. His contributions were instrumental in driving revenue growth and enhancing the Mavericks’ brand presence.
